Sometimes I wish (AM)

Sometimes I wish we did allow pictures of our faces and the faces of our loved ones on Miss Soft Crab. When a particularly adorable photo of the little ones appears. Or a particularly funny photo of the big ones.
I took a ripper photo on the weekend on the way back from the market. We got caught in the rain and the temperature dropped quite a bit quite quickly.
Appleheart did some improvising to keep KB warm and the results were very amusing, especially to KB.

I also found this very reliable looking product at the market.

Good times.

My phoney life (AM)

Because J has been posting photos of her holiday on the face space, I thought I would turn to my phone and see what story its recent photos tell.

It's a fairly predicable one...full of stuff to eat and see and think about. But some of it is noteworthy.

Like this truly explosive snake art on the bonnet of a Holden Barina that is sometimes parked on my street.

Really makes you think.

Then there's this.

Some delicious quail, wrapped in proscuitto I ate at Bar Idda recently.

That's Russeth making a lewd hand gesture in the background. I'm not sure whether that hand gesture is  an established thing, but I get where he was going with it.

Here's a drink I had at some fancy curry place in Northcote the other day.

It's called Birch Beer. The dude who sold it to me told me that it's made with some part of the birch tree and brewed in waters of a stream that runs off Niagara Falls. His spiel had me rolling my eyes very very heavily, but because of my FOMODT I ordered it. It tasted exactly and I mean EXACTLY like Deep Heat. And it wasn't even alcoholic. But I drank it all.

There's this picture.

Spinal what? Injury? Tap? Inquiring minds need to know more.

Here's a picture from Cape Bridgewater, down near Portland.

It's of windmills and ocean and Appleheart, a fine gentleman I'm knocking around with. After this, we saw a bunch of fur seals, kangaroos and a petrified forest, and then I ate a fig. It was an excellent day.

Finally, here's a picture of Midbro and Little nut doing a Britney Spears.

It's OK, the car was stationary.

Now let's see what J's got for us!

Strangers in the park

I KNOW, RIGHT?! All those strangers in our photos and likely us in strangers photos! It is kind of disconcerting.

This one time I was looking at some friends' photos on Facebook. Just an album of stuff they had done recently and as I was looking at a photo of them out to dinner I saw a girl I knew, unconnected to these friends, in the background! It was actually a little bit of a mind-bender.

Now sure, these friends were having dinner at Cumulus Inc and the girl in the background worked there, so it is not so crazy. And yet, that this photo should have been taken at just the time when she was walking past... That I should look at these photos! It really was all pretty weird.

Sometimes I think about how I am in the video of some complete stranger's baby. Yes. Once at a shrine in Tokyo these Japanese people were videoing there very little baby and, even though we were in a pretty touristy area, these people brought there baby up to me and were getting me to shake the baby's hand. And taping the whole thing! Baby's first gaijin meeting. So weird.

Today, I actually took a photo of some strangers on purpose. I did it for you guys! I was at this park and these people were just making out on this bridge the WHOLE TIME! With the exception of a few minutes where they were photographing a kookaburra then picked up my baby's lost shoe.

Based on an aural glimpse, the fact that we were in Caulfield, and the fact that this woman is wearing a bright pink puffer, I think they were Russian. I'm just saying.

Wasted space

Because phones have cameras on them it means you can take photos of anything. This is great usually but also my phone photo album is so full of crap that I don't know where or how to begin cleaning it up.

When I see this photo as a thumbnail it does not look appetising. Usually I have no idea what it is.

It is a rye bread and it was delicious but when I see it in my photos I see that it is not as good looking as it tasted, it looks more like the lovechild of an armadillo and some crap (absolutely no disrespect to Mickey "Mikey Doubleword" Blue Eyes, who makes a delicious rye bread and who I hope will continue to allow me to eat his baked goods which I love).

This cock on a tenner seemed hilarious. Especially because it came as change from a middle aged woman in a home wares shop. But do I really need to see it every time I scroll through my pictures?! (Just kidding, I love seeing it every time.)

And speaking of cocks, that sure is why I photographed this bowl of guacamole, but now I just feel hungry whenever I see it.

Why did I take this picture?

This delicious croquette looks like fried white turd and for some reason I photographed it after I'd squeezed the lemon. It's so ugly.

And all these photos:

I really gotta clean my phone out.
