Mate, as I read your post this morning I thought
spanagnocchita was going to end up somewhere really special. I had been thinking that another issue with mine may have been the quality of commercial gnocchi I bought.
Homemade
gnocchs + pan fry+ sauteed
silverbeet + crouton = me feeling jealous that I hadn't deviated more from the recipe myself.
I was a little shocked yours didn't work out well. Can't polish a turd, I guess.
